Life has been busy!  Three day holidays that are like shabbos each week for the three weeks now - no driving, no creative acts, like art, writing, erasing, no workin, no emails, ...sounds good but can get you really behind.  Sukkas was good though.  We met a lot of people and had a good time.  The first days our top blew off our sukkah and onto the cars next to it, it was scary to come home to, but we elbowed them off and all was good.  We didn't eat in our sukkah for the first days, but did have a chinese date in it last sunday..

oh last sunday, the day when we went canoeing, and we flipped, with our cellphones in our pocket and my new glasses now laying on the bottom of a lake.  Thank-god we're okay though, that what matters most.

work has been incredibly busy.  One, we had a client appreciation day on Sunday the 30th.  THere was so much prep involved, but it went pretty good.  Now we're changing broker dealers and there is soooo much paperwork to do, we have to write new contracts for the 270 clients we have, a seperate one for each of there accounts too....

you can just find me under a stash of paper at work, or a stash of dishes and clothes at home....

You are The Star

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

What Tarot Card are You?

You spend the whole day at a Maryland Life and Health Insurance Continuation Education seminar, and enjoy it!  Oh my gosh I was totally making fun of myself as I was writing down frivolously all the nuances between COBRA and HIPPA, and when they apply with HRA and HSA's!!

Something is seriously wrong with me.  Old me would totally call new me - NERD!!!  Of course new me is actually starting a career, where old me just wanted to be a tattoo artists, or some other form of a non starving artist....

Of course I was the only one there with a personality, and in jeans (skirt).  NO beatles shirt today, didn't think about it.  I always where my beatles shirt to the IRS seminars.  Someone needs to where something other then plaid shirts and tan pants.

ANd lunch was great - star K slob of meat, noodles and peas.  Everyone else got this awesome buffet lunch.  The lady next to me said something about me being so good on my weight watchers diet while she ate some cheesecake - completely took me for surprise, I let her down telling her that I keep kosher, so It was just a fattening kosher meal!!

No complaints, they could have had nothing kosher for my lunch included 8 hour seminar.  But half my credits needed are done, the rest i'll get after tax season when I have time again.  Time to take off my work hat and put on my domestic goddess ensemble and make dinner, tonight it's hot dogs and beans, poor mans dinner.....

Of course it happened again today.  Of course the same chick decided to go out to lunch, and refused carry out and they all left me in the office.  Of course they were going to my favorite chinese restaurant where i would get the same thing every time for the past 100 some years.... i was so mad...and did i say anything, of course not, i'm to chicken to ever speak my mind...

So I'm sitting in my office stewing over how mad i am.... two hours go by, i've cooled down...after eating a can of tuna and some cheese....

Then, comes back one little fellow, asking me about my weekend, and I told him a bit about Yom Kippur, not wanting to mention to much, or have too many questions ask.  I hate getting asked questions because i never feel qualified to answer them so they make sense and don't make me look like a fool.

He asks away without hesitating, and after I answer all his little pathetic questions i know he doesn't get, he says,

"I love how you jews are so connected to g-d in everything you do, you just live it day in and day out, sticking to your beliefs and all, why hasn't this caught on with more religions more?"...

how stupid do you think i felt then?
